Catalog Maintenance

Update: The catalog maintenance was completed at 8:30am on Saturday 10/5/2019.

The Library Catalog will be undergoing maintenance beginning Friday October 4th through Sunday October 6th. During this time, electronic books and journals may not show up in the journal and book search results.

Access to our eBooks will be available for the duration by going directly to either AccessMedicine or ClinicalKey depending on where the book is published. This maintenance will not affect the E-journal Finder, Database List, Request Materials (ILLiad), or our Find It! button.

Once the work is complete, all of our electronic resources will appear in the catalog again.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Catalog Maintenance

The Library Catalog will be undergoing maintenance beginning Friday, August 31, through Monday, September 3. During this time electronic journals and books may not show up in the  search results. Physical items will still be present in catalog search results.

The best way to search for electronic books and journals during this time is by using our E-journal Finder, which will not be affected by the maintenance. Similarly, you may continue to use any resource in our Database List, Request Materials (ILLiad), and our Find It! button. For example, you can continue to search for eBooks by going directly to either AccessMedicine or ClinicalKey depending on where the book is published.

Once the work is complete, all of our electronic resources will appear in the catalog again.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Catalog Maintenance

The server maintenance is now complete (March 22nd at 3pm) and everything should be operating as normal again.

 *****************************************************************************
Beginning late Sunday evening, March 19th and extending through the end of day on Wednesday, March 22nd, the Library catalog will undergo scheduled maintenance which will impact catalog searches, request processes, and check out and renewal of library materials.

The following services will remain available for most of the upgrade, however, there may be periods when these services are not available - watch for further announcements:
  • Search for journals and books -- to search for library materials
  • E-Journals
  • Databases
  • Request Materials (ILLiad) -- to get Articles, Books, More
Patrons will still be able to use the Search box on the library home page to search both electronic and print holdings, however, print titles searched and accessed in the catalog will not show availability, location or call number.  Electronic journal content can still be searched and accessed via the E-Journal Finder (http://mt8fd2he2v.search.serialssolutions.com/).

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Library Proxy Server Maintenance

The Library's content proxy server (https://login.proxy.kumc.edu) will be offline briefly on the morning of Tuesday, September 6th for scheduled security updates.  This will mean no off-campus access to licensed content through login.proxy.kumc.edu which will affect all full-text links in the catalog, E-Journal Finder, the databases page, and FindIt.

Direct links to resources (i.e. links without the proxy address prefix) will not be affected. Off-campus users should be able to use VPN/Direct Access with non-proxied URLs.  For example, remove "https://login.proxy.kumc.edu/login?URL=" from your links.

From a FindIt URL like this:
http://mt8fd2he2v.search.serialssolutions.com/log?L=MT8FD2HE2V&D=Z5R&J=ANNAOFALLAS&P=Link&U=https%3A%2F%2Flogin.proxy.kumc.edu%2Flogin%3FURL%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.clinicalkey.com%2Fcontent%2FplayBy%2Fdoi%3Fv%3D10.1016%2Fj.anai.2015.04.004

remove this part:
https%3A%2F%2Flogin.proxy.kumc.edu%2Flogin%3FURL%3D

and use this:
http://mt8fd2he2v.search.serialssolutions.com/log?L=MT8FD2HE2V&D=Z5R&J=ANNAOFALLAS&P=Link&U=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.clinicalkey.com%2Fcontent%2FplayBy%2Fdoi%3Fv%3D10.1016%2Fj.anai.2015.04.004

We apologize for the inconvenience.
