PubMed lookup service temporarily unavailable

The PubMed ID (PMID) lookup service is temporarily unavailable. Because of this, our FindIt! button is unable to use PMIDs to connect to the full text of articles. When this happens, you will be redirected to our Citation Linker page where you can still use information other than the PMID such as journal title, ISSN, volume, issue, or DOI to find if an individual article is available in our collection.

Workaround in PubMed

If the citation displays a DOI link or publisher link you may click either of these and it may connect to the full text. This will work if we have access to the content and you are on campus or have already authenticated to our proxy server as described on our Remote Access Guide.

Open Access Week

October 22-28, 2018!

Open Access is the freely immediate online availability of research articles coupled with the rights to use these articles fully in the digital environment. Open Access Explained

Theme
The 2018 Open Access Week Advisory Committee is pleased to announce that the theme for the 2018 International Open Access Week, to be held October 22-28, will be “designing equitable foundations for open knowledge.”

This year’s theme reflects a scholarly system in transition. While governments, funders, universities, publishers, and scholars are increasingly adopting open policies and practices, how these are actually implemented is still in flux. As open becomes the default, all stakeholders must be intentional about designing these new, open systems to ensure that they are inclusive, equitable, and truly serve the needs of a diverse global community. This year’s Open Access Week invites all interested stakeholders to participate in advancing this important work.
