Library Resources and Services are still available remotely!

** Note: masks must be worn at all times in Dykes Library in accordance with University Policy **

The A.R. Dykes Library is complying with the University’s guidance regarding the novel coronavirus, "COVID-19" and is now open to the KUMC community. At this time, we are unable to welcome public guests.

Hours
The Library building is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm and KUMC badges are required to enter. Remote services are available to continue providing information and access to faculty, staff and students even when our doors may be closed. See below for more information.

Study Rooms
Study rooms are available for use on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Online Reference Services
Chat service is available Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm and on Sunday from 8:00 am until 11:00 pm. The Chat link appears on the right-hand side of the Library homepage. You may also email the User Services staff with questions.

Research Consultations with Librarians
Schedule a virtual appointment with a research librarian or send a request for a comprehensive search.

Accessing Library Resources
KUMC students, faculty, and staff wishing to use our services and resources may do so remotely. All electronic resources, such as videos, books, and journals will continue to be available through the Dykes Library website 24/7. This guide gives you tips on how to access our electronic resources remotely. If you are having access issues please contact us immediately.

Request Materials
We are providing limited interlibrary loan services to the KUMC community only. Use the Find It! link in databases or on Google Scholar to locate the article in our collection. If we don’t have it, the link provides an option to request it through interlibrary loan, see instructions here. You can also directly Request Materials.
